Introduced by a mutual friend, Nicole and Jermaine are drawing upon their complimentary skills and 20+ years of experiences to help launch black farmers in the nascent industrial hemp industry projected to reach $1.8 billion in 2022. At its peak, Black farmers in the US controlled more than 15 million acres of farmland; today that total is about 45,000 acres. Jermaine has built his knowledge of agriculture for more than 20 years and has focused on understanding the tremendous potential of hemp and industrial hemp fiber. Coupled with Nicole’s business acumen, gained through her education and experience, they are passionate about increasing the number of black farmers growing industrial hemp, as well as educating the country on the more than 50,000 uses for hemp fiber that more than 30 countries already enjoy.
